Standard: Compares and orders whole numbers,

Procedures/Activities
Step:
1 Duration: 10 min.
Discuss with students the relationship between academic
subjects--math, science, language arts and social science--students take in
school and careers that use the skills acquired in these academic subjects.
Write math, science, language arts and social studies on the board and ask
students to choose which area they like best.
Step:
2 Duration: 5 min.
Once students have chosen a subject area, tell them they will
investigate jobs in those areas using the internet to find a career they like.
List the web addresses under the proper subject area on the board and direct
students to the proper web site.

For students with significant disabilities, what changes can
be made in instruction and teaching delivery to allow students to participate in
