Procedures/Activities
Step:
1 Duration: 20 min.
Have students complete the “Making a Difference” activity
sheet. After students have completed the activity sheet, discuss their answers,
emphasizing the potential worth of every person to make positive contributions
to society.

2 Duration: 5 min.
Ask students to make a list of ways that they could better use
their potential in the following areas: a. Courtesy toward each other. b. Study
habits and class participation. c. Respect for school conduct rules. d. Respect
for school property. e. Relationships with school staff.
Step: 3 Duration: several weeks
Have each student select one way in which he or she will
attempt to use his or her potential in a positive way for the next two weeks.
Have students encourage one another during this time. After two weeks, discuss
with students their progress and accomplishments.
