B. Educational and Occupational Exploration
Begin class period with a discussion about the adults they know and
the work they do. Let each child name at least two adults and their work.
Ask the children to close their eyes and imagine those adults they
described doing a completely different work activity (e.g., a nurse being
a lion tamer). Have each child tell what that adult’s work would be then
and the activities that the adult would do.
Students' participation in the activity will be
evaluated.
For students with significant disabilities, what changes can
be made in instruction and teaching delivery to allow students to participate in
classroom instruction while working on IEP objectives and off grade level QCC
standards. Below are suggested modifications correlated to the procedures of
this lesson plan.
