Discuss what types of animals would be studied by an archaeologist, veterinarian, and zoo keeper.

Step:  3 Duration: 5 min.
Encourage students to find pictures in their science book that might represent the type of animals people who work as an archaeologist, veterinarian, or zoo keeper would study.

Step:  4 Duration: 15 min.
Students will then develop a collage with drawings of animals that could be studied by an archeologist, veterinarian, or zoo keeper and label them.

Technology Connection

Assessment
Students participation and completed collage will be evaluated.
Extension
Have students research one of the careers discussed and prepare a short report to share with the class.
Remediation
Have students create an animal book as a group. Ask one group to create a book of animals that a veterinarian would care for, one for an archeologist and another book of animals that a zoologist would deal with.
