We said: What is being a Blogger all about?

She said: For me, it’s
about keeping the public informed and earning a living. I have a web blog that tracks political events in the state; a watchdog site. For all of you too busy to follow the daily workings of state legislators, I can keep you up-to-date with information about people and state and local politics. You can participate in the blog by joining the discussion or you can just read the comments of others. Of course, the site content reflects my opinions and views. But, your comments are welcome.

We said: What are the best and hardest parts of being a Blogger?

She said: The best part is being able to work at home in my pjs. And I get to focus on the thing that I love – politics. The hardest part is the routine of writing every day and finding something interesting to say. People subscribe to my blog and I earn a living providing new content daily.

We said: How did you get started as a Blogger?

She said: I majored in communications and journalism in college. The final project for my web design class was to create a blog site. I found that I had a lot to say and I enjoyed the involvement of a web audience. As a journalist for the college newspaper, I conducted several election interviews that became podcasts on the school’s website. It was so much fun that I started expanding my web design skills to prepare for a digital future.
