Administration Tools for GCIS and GCIS Junior

Administration Tools is a management resources system designed to manage GCIS and/or GCIS Junior. These tools will help you organize and manage individual student/client portfolios and view aggregate data on usage at your site. Use these tools to create portfolios, organize users into groups, retrieve usernames/passwords, send messages, customize sties, and much more. You can also use the Administration Tools to report your BRIDGE Act compliance to the Georgia Department of Education.

Reports
  • View number of logins and summary reports for any site within the district.
Individual Portfolio
  • Site Reports - View number of logins and summary reports for your site.
  • Group Reports - View selected content for a group of portfolios.
  • Individual Portfolio - View all content for an individual portfolio; retrieve portfolio user names and passwords.
BRIDGE Act Reports
  • 6th Grade: Portfolios - % of 6th graders who have portfolio accounts with GCIS or GCIS Junior.
  • 6th Grade: Career Cluster Inventory - % of 6th graders who have completed Career Cluster Inventory and saved in their portfolios.
  • 7th Grade: Reality Check % of 6th graders who have completed Career Cluster Inventory and saved in their portfolios
  • 7th Grade: 3 Career Clusters - % of 7th graders who have explored at least 3 career clusters and saved them in their portfolios.
  • 8th Grade: 3 Occupations - % of 8th graders who have explored at least 3 occupations and saved them in their portfolios.
  • 8th Grade: "My Course Plan" - % of 8th graders who have completed the "My Course Plan" (Individual Graduation Plan).
  • 9th Grade: 3 Occupations - % of 9th graders who have explored and investigated at least 3 occupations prior to the annual student/family conference.
  • 10th Grade: "College Credit Now" - % of 10th graders who have been made aware of "College Credit Now" programs.
  • 11th Grade: School to Work Connection (3 Schools) - % of 11th graders who have made connection between school and work by exploring and saving at least 3 possible choices of postsecondary institutions in their portfolios that match their Individual Graduation Plan.
  • 12th Grade: Next Step - % of 12th graders who have identified their next step (self reported): college, military, apprenticeship, and workforce.
BRIDGE Act Data Entry
  • BRIDGE Act Student Enrollment - Enter number of students enrolled in each grade level to generate your BRIDGE Act Reports.
  • BRIDGE Act Student Enrollment - Check the 8th grade students who have completed their "My Course Plan" (Individual Graduation Plan).
  • BRIDGE Act "College Credit Now" - Enter the number of 10th graders who have been made aware of "College Credit Now" programs.
Data Maintenance
  • My Account - Edit your own account.
  • Staff Accounts - Create, edit, or delete staff accounts.
  • Groups- Create, edit, or delete groups. Add or remove portfolios.
  • Portfolios- Create, edit, or delete portfolios. Transfer portfolios to another site or exclude portfolios from your site reports. Add Parent Accounts.
  • Messages - Send, receive, and manage messages.
  • Upload Portfolios - Upload portfolio accounts using an Excel template.
  • Site Options - Set course planner link. Set portfolio privacy options. Set parent account introduction.
  • Course Planner Editor - Create site-specific courses and pathways.

  • Go to Georgia Career Information System - Go to Georgia Career Information System. You will be logged in as a portfolio user.

District Administration Tools

District Tools is a management resources system designed to centrally manage GCIS and GCIS Junior activity at all sites within the district and/or agency. These tools will help you manage both aggregate and individual site data. The District Tools will enable Superintendents, Divisional Directors, CTAE Coordinators, and other district personnel to support GCIS and GCIS Junior usage. You can also use the Administration Tools to report your BRIDGE Act compliance to the Georgia Department of Education.

Reports
  • View number of logins and summary reports for any site within the district.
Individual Portfolio
  • Search, retrieve, and view individual portfolios from any site with the district
Data Maintenance
  • Access Administration Tools for any site within the district to perform the same actions as a Site Administrator
BRIDGE Act Summary Report
  • View the BRIDGE Act Summary Report for your school systems according school and grade-level performance. (Note: data will only appear if enrollment numbers are entered.)
